Maison du berger - Larreix

Maison du berger - Larreix is a small backcountry shelter in the commune of Sengouagnet, managed by the municipality. It’s an unmanaged, free refuge used for basic overnight stays, with simple interior features and a fireplace.

The hut is suitable for up to 6 people. Interior space includes a chimney, tables and benches, and a large upstairs floor that can accommodate mattresses; there’s also drinking water available nearby and a fountain outdoors. Use is first-come, first-served—no advanced booking is supported—so bring your own sleeping system (there are no mattresses provided), plus food and water. The facility is at about 1,470 m elevation.
