Oratoire de la Sainte-Victoire

Oratoire de la Sainte-Victoire is a backcountry shelter on the Sainte-Victoire massif, used for overnight stops. The refuge is intended for hikers looking for a quiet place to rest, and it runs without attendants.

Sleeping is limited to 14 people. It is not possible to reserve the refuge in advance; it is used on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no potable water at the site—bring enough water—and you need to bring your own firewood (no cutting wood on the site). Fires are not allowed at the refuge; only the refuge fireplace/cheminée may be used, and the fireplace is closed during the summer season (closed from June 1 to September 30). The site has dry toilets near the Prieuré area, and the refuge and surrounding area emphasize silence starting at 22:00 and strict respect for leave-no-trace rules.
