Orri des Myrtilles

Orri des Myrtilles is a very small, unguarded stone shelter in the Néouvielle area (about 1,750 m). It’s a basic night stop with a simple interior floor of stone and a very small footprint (around 6 m²), good for emergency-style bivouac use rather than comfortable refuge stays. Because it’s not staffed, there’s no booking process and you should be self-sufficient.

The shelter has no fireplace and is extremely rustic; plan on carrying what you need to sleep and stay dry. It’s set right off the Route des lacs route on/near the Myrtilles switchbacks, making it a convenient waypoint for treks through the Néouvielle lakes area and for onward days toward routes such as the lacs de l’Oule, lacs d’Aubert, or Cap de Long.
