Patons Hut
Patons Hut is a backcountry iron hut used for overnight stays as emergency accommodation in Kosciuszko National Park. It’s managed as a first-come, first-served refuge-style hut, so you’ll need to expect others sharing the space.
Overnight use is free and there’s no booking system. Around 2–4 people can sleep inside on basic platforms/bunks, but you should always carry a tent in case the hut is full or occupied in poor weather.
