Perry Saddle Wardens Hut

Perry Saddle Wardens Hut is a 28-bunk backcountry hut on the Heaphy Track in Kahurangi National Park. It sits in the fold of Perry Saddle, with the Perry Saddle Campsite right beside it, and is used as overnight accommodation for walkers on the multi-day track.

Facilities are shared communal sleeping, heating, lighting, gas cooking, and cold running water. Long-drop toilets are supplied with toilet paper; you’ll need to bring a sleeping bag and your own cooking utensils, and there are no showers in the huts.

Heaphy Track bookings are required for Great Walk accommodation. Prices are per person per night, with NZ resident rates only for NZ-eligible visitors; Backcountry Hut Passes and Backcountry Hut Tickets can’t be used at this hut. Hut wardens move between nearby huts in summer.
