Refuge Cezanne
Refuge Cezanne is a small, unstaffed backcountry hut in the Ecrins (at 1877 m). It’s run by the Club Alpin Français and has 12 sleeping places, arranged over two levels: a main room for “hors sac” use and a dormitory level upstairs.
Access is from the Village de Pelvoux (tunnel), with a 600 m ascent taking about 3 hours. The refuge sits at the crossing of the Glacier Noir and Glacier Blanc trail routes and is used for trips in the Glacier Blanc and Glacier Noir sectors during its seasonal opening from late September to early June, when the nearby auberge/gîte is closed.
