Refuge de Furfande
Refuge de Furfande is a backcountry hut in the Queyras, set at 2,300 m on the GR 58 (Tour du Queyras) and also on the GR5. The hut sits on the south-facing Furfande pasture overlooking the Guil gorge.
Use is built around summer trekking: it offers half-board and picnic lunches, with dinner/bed/breakfast service style. Sleeping is in a mix of dormitory and individual rooms, and the refuge is associated with a capacity of about 38 people.
Booking is through the official Queyras booking channels. For contact during the shoulder period, the hut’s phone is listed, with the website noting that between 15 June and 15 September the phone contact is used only.
Operationally, the hut’s access is on foot from the trail system: from Arvieux via the GR58 (around 3 hours) or from the Queyron area via a route from the south side (around 2 hours). Daytime meals are offered on-site, including a service window from 12h to 14h.
