Refuge de la Fontaine Hunoltstein

Refuge de la Fontaine Hunoltstein is a backcountry, non-staffed mountain hut in the Vosges area, used for overnight stops by hikers traveling in the sector. It’s set up for sleeping on two places on a base, with no blankets provided, and there’s a simple cooking setup: a wood stove is not provided for burning—though wood is typically available on-site—so bring your own stove system/plan if you rely on cooking heat. No fireplace, no interior sleeping mattresses, and no toilets are provided.

For water, there’s typically water available within about 100 m (a nearby water source rather than a direct supply at the hut). The hut includes a door and a table inside, and its floor is wood; it does not offer lockable security.
