Refuge de la Glère

Refuge de la Glère is a Club Alpin Français backcountry hut in the Néouvielle area (2153 m). It’s set in the valley of the Glère and has 60 places; during the winter season it also has a winter room. Use is set up around the refuge’s guard periods, with reservation required online or by phone, and the hut is guarded in winter from 7 February to 9 May 2026 and in summer from 30 May to 10 October 2026. The hut’s elevation makes it a straightforward base for day hikes into the Néouvielle lakes and for longer outings such as the tour du Néouvielle; in winter it’s used by ski hikers.
