Refuge de la Golèse

Refuge de la Golèse is a backcountry alpine hut at the Col de la Golèse, run by Sébastien Baud near Samoëns. It’s positioned directly in the pasture landscape and serves as a base for GR5 travel and for accessing outings around the Giffre valley and Morzine area.

The refuge sleeps up to 58 people and takes bookings, with reservation required. Use runs seasonally from 30 May to 3 October 2026. It has shower facilities and offers on-site catering, including Savoyard specialties and set meal options. Access is by mountain walk; plan about 1h30 to 2h on foot with roughly 600 m of ascent from the approach described on the refuge’s contact and reservation information.
