Refuge de Mayères

Refuge de Mayères is a backcountry hut at 1580 m on the Plateau de Mayères above Sallanches, used as a stop on multi-day hiking on the Tour du Pays du Mont-Blanc. It has a bar and a restaurant meal service that is taken by reservation, with traditional Savoyard cuisine.

The refuge sleeps up to 50 people (three dorm rooms) and stays on a fixed seasonal rhythm: daily from 15 June 2026 to 15 September 2026, with closure Sunday evening and all day Monday. Outside that period, it may run only on weekends in May through mid-October; groups can contact the refuge by phone for dates in the shoulder season.

Book by phone only (no online booking). During the season call +33 (0)4 50 78 29 28; off-season contact +33 (0)6 81 07 16 36. Payment on site is cash or cheque (no card terminal), and hot showers cost about €2.

For sleeping gear, bring your own sleeping bag/liner. Pillows, pillowcases, and disposable sheets are provided. Dogs are welcome, but they must not sleep in the dormitories for hygiene reasons.
