Refuge de Varan

Refuge de Varan is a backcountry alpine hut near Passy in the Massif du Faucigny, at about 1,610 m. The hut has capacity for 28 people and can be contacted by email at refugedevaran@orange.fr or by phone (+33 4 50 93 61 98; +33 6 70 78 81 00).

Use is closed: the hut has been closed since 2019 for safety/standards upgrades (mise aux normes).
