Refuge de Vénasque

Refuge de Vénasque is a guarded FFCAM mountain hut in the Luchonnais (Pyrenees), set around 2,249 m. It serves as a base in the Port de Vénasque area, with direct links to the local classic walks and summits such as the Port de Vénasque area, the Pic de Sauvegarde, and other peaks in the Maladeta/Aneto orbit.

The hut sleeps 36 in the guarded season (3 dormitories). In the off-guard period, it provides 12 sleeping places. The refuge is managed by Clara Croain and is staffed for the season from the beginning of June to the end of September / early October, depending on conditions. On-site contact numbers are 09 87 88 14 69 (during guarding) and 06 89 49 82 27 (outside guarding).
