Refuge des Drayères

Refuge des Drayères is a backcountry refuge run by Club Alpin Français in the Clarée valley area, on the Tour du Mont Thabor via the GR57. It sits at 2,180 m and is used as an intermediate stop for walkers traversing the Clarée valley itineraries, near Lac Rond, Lac du Grand Ban, and the source of the Clarée.

Sleeping arrangements are in dormitories: 60 beds when the refuge is staffed, with dorms of 4, 6, and 8 places; 24 beds when not staffed. The refuge is currently in works and is inaccessible to the public from 20 April to 16 June 2026; afterward, it is guarded from 17 June to 27 September. There is no water, no gas, and no heating, and toilets are dry (outside). Reservations for the summer season are available online.
