Refuge des Pradioux

Refuge des Pradioux is an unstaffed mountain hut in the French Pyrenees (cabanе non gardée), used as a backcountry stop for hikers traveling on foot. Use is free, with no reservation process—expect a first-come, first-served stay.

Inside, the hut provides a simple setup for sleeping and cooking: a table and benches, and a wood-burning stove/fireplace. It’s sized for small groups (sleeping for about 3–5 people, with capacity for 5 at the table), and there is a natural spring close by for refilling water (about a 1–2 minute walk). Leave the hut clean, keep the space for others, and conserve any provided firewood.
