Refuge d'Esparron

Refuge d'Esparron is a non-guarded backcountry hut in the Commune du Percy, set at 1080 m in the Trièves/Vercors area. It sleeps 29 people in a converted farmhouse and stays open year-round, but you need a reservation at least 48 hours in advance.

For stays, plan for a wood stove and stoves (including a cooktop with oven), with firewood provided. Toilets are dry and are outside; there’s no water or electricity in the refuge (there is a source in front, but it isn’t treated/controlled). The hut is fee-based and can be used for meals and/or picnic baskets made with local products; winter car access is often problematic due to snow.
