Refuge d'hiver de l'Alpe de Villar-d'Arène

Refuge d'hiver de l'Alpe de Villar-d'Arène is a winter backcountry hut in the Oisans area, run under the FFCAM network. It provides 25 sleeping places and is set up for winter use, making it a practical base for ski touring and winter mountaineering days in the surrounding terrain.

Use is focused on the ski season: the hut opening dates for 2026 are listed on the refuge’s reservation page, with the gardé period starting on Saturday 28 February 2026 and running until Saturday 9 May 2026 (with an additional week from 19–23 May). Online booking is handled through the FFCAM reservation platform, and further dates can be arranged directly with the guardian based on the calendar shown during the season.
