Refuge d'Hurtières

Refuge d'Hurtières is a small, unstaffed mountain shelter in the Chartreuse area (altitude about 1,546 m). It’s a practical stop for overnight hikers who want a free-access bivouac-style refuge rather than a staffed mountain hut.

The refuge sleeps about 6 people, with drinking water available and a wood stove/poêle for cooking and warmth. It has a table-bench setup and access to dry toilet facilities, but no shower and no dedicated toilet facilities inside the refuge building itself; GSM coverage is absent in and around the shelter area.
