Refuge du Carrelet

Refuge du Carrelet is a mountain hut at 1909 m in the Écrins National Park area near Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans. Use is by reservation for summer stays, in particular for half-board and midday meals during the guarded season.

The approach to the hut follows the left bank of the Vénéon, passing the camping area; the right bank and the hamlet of La Bérarde are prohibited due to trail damage or flooding. For summer 2026, the refuge is open from 4 July to 30 August only on reservation, with contact by email preferred (contact@refugeducarrelet.com) and phone during the season (+33 09 88 66 60 67; off-season +33 06 07 74 41 59).

Overnighting and catering are available (full-board or half-board), and the refuge provides accommodation for 44 beds. Rates for the 2026 season include a night rate of €22, half-board from €58 (age 12+), and half-board for children ages 3–11 from €37; pets are not accepted.
