Refuge du Chardonnet

Refuge du Chardonnet is a backcountry refuge near Névache in the Haute Vallée, operated by Nicolas Purson. It sits at about 2,227 m in the Vallon du Chardonnet, at the forest/alpage edge beneath the limestone cliffs of the Cerces.

Seasonal opening is listed for 2026 from 13 June to 12 September, with weekends continuing until the Toussaint period; reservations are offered for the summer season 2026. Use is supported by on-site food: the refuge highlights a simple, family-style kitchen, made with bio or local products, with pastries prepared on site.

For your stay, the refuge page frames the shelter as a base for hikers, skiers, or climbers who want to sleep overnight or use the terrace area and dining room. The page also lists a dedicated contact phone number for the refuge.
