Refuge du Clos Raffin
Refuge du Clos Raffin is an alpine backcountry hut near La Grave in the Hautes-Alpes (France), at about 1,824–1,830 m elevation. It serves as a simple overnight stop and nearby waypoint for day routes in the Clos Raffin area.
A nearby regional walking loop called “Clos Raffin small loop – La Grave” runs from Le Chazelet (1770 m) to the hamlet of Clos Raffin and back, with a total distance of about 3.6 km, about 240 m of positive elevation gain, and a marked route (“Itinerary n°1 of the Chemins d’avant”) with an opening window from 15/05 to 30/11 (conditions depending on snow/weather). Along that loop, the route crosses the “pont de la mine” and passes the Querellé alpine hut before reaching Clos Raffin at around 1830 m.
