Refuge du Glacier Blanc
Refuge du Glacier Blanc is a Club Alpin Français mountain hut at 2542 m in the Écrins, used as a base for randonneurs and alpinistes in the Glacier Blanc area. The hut is run with staffed periods from 29 March to 20 September 2025, with reservations required when it is staffed.
It has 131 sleeping places and offers two dormitories and a school option (30 school places). Outside the staffed period it lists 35 sleeping places and two dormitories; during the staffed season it also states that a varied catering offering is proposed to hut users. The hut is in Parc National des Ecrins, and the booking flow is handled through the refuge’s own online reservation system (contacting the guardian directly is also possible).
The hut sits facing the Glacier Blanc and is positioned for access to classic routes from the Pelvoux massif, including courses such as Les Agneaux, Pic du Glacier Blanc, Neige Cordier, and courses around Pic du Glacier d’Arsine and the Ailefroides.
