Refuge Robinot

Refuge Robinot is an unstaffed mountain hut (“cabane non gardée”) in the Vosges area, used as a free backcountry stop. The hut has two sleeping levels: you can sleep on the upper and lower areas, with access to the upper sleeping area via a ladder. It provides a cooking stove/oven and tables inside and outside, but no bedding or mattresses are included.

Sleep capacity is around 12 people, with use on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservation system). There’s no fee to stay, and no toilets or shower facilities are provided. Water is available from a nearby spring/water collection point, but drink it only if conditions allow (treat as conditional and plan to be self-sufficient). Fresh water is a short walk downhill from the hut (about 1 minute).
