Tiedeman Slough Cabin
Tiedeman Slough Cabin is a rustic backcountry cabin in Chugach National Forest, sleeping up to 6. It’s a 12 x 14-foot structure with wooden bunkbeds (no mattresses), a table, and an oil stove, plus a rainwater catchment barrel and an outdoor pit toilet; it does not have running water or electricity.
Access is by boat-in or float plane at high tide only. The cabin is on the east bank of the tidal slough near the mouth of the slough, and boat access can be difficult at low tide; plan around tide timing and be ready for extreme remoteness. Reservations are required for stays through the government reservation system.
