Tomahawk Hut

Tomahawk Hut is a backcountry hut in Victoria’s High Country, near the Mt Stirling / Mt Buller area, used for self-reliant camping when you’re out on the 4WD-access forest roads and tracks. Use is first-come, first-served with no booking required for the associated camp areas.

Access is generally 4WD and is subject to seasonal track closures, typically from June through November. Expect basic facilities in this High Country State Forest context—fire rings and drop toilets are common—and plan for a remote trip with no services nearby.
