Route Details

Trophy Lodge is a backcountry fishing lodge hidden away in Ford Bay on the Smith Arm of Great Bear Lake, operating as an all-inclusive style “hotel-style lodge” experience for serious anglers. It’s described as a base tailored to pursuing big lake trout, with both guided fishing and an on-site tackle shop, plus meeting facilities and Starlink internet access.

The lodge has a 20-guest capacity and is available for fixed seasonal windows: June 28–August 2, 2026; July 3–Aug 7, 2027; and July 1–August 5, 2028. Pricing is published for 7-day trips at $7,995 USD per person, with traditional booking options for 2, 4, 6, or 8 anglers (call for odd-numbered bookings or groups over 8). Prices exclude shop purchases, license, liquor, soda pop, gratuities, and tax (5% G.S.T.). Trips are described as fully guided, with a chef on site and features including a fireplace, a pool table, and the lodge’s in-house tackle shop.

Access is supported by a private airstrip (noted as 3,000 ft with an 18' Alumarines/Lunds and 40hp Mercury Red Seal), and the lodge notes that no fly-outs are available.
