Use is free and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis (no booking of the lean-to itself). Camping is restricted to parties of 9 or fewer, and if you’re staying at the same location for more than 3 nights you must contact a Forest Ranger from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
