West Sabine Hut

West Sabine Hut is a serviced 30-bunk backcountry hut in Nelson Lakes National Park, run by the Department of Conservation. It has hut water use and toilets (pit latrine), plus mattresses and a fireplace. Fees apply, and bookings are required for stays; if there’s no online availability for your dates, the hut is fully booked—there are no spaces held for walk-ins.
