Westermans Hut

Westermans Hut is a backcountry wilderness hut in Namadgi National Park, used by walkers and as an emergency shelter. Camping is generally not treated as a “bookable hut” stay; instead, there is a designated campsite right beside the hut for overnight hikers on the Settlers Track.

If you plan to camp by the hut, camping is free, but you must register your intent to camp in Namadgi National Park. Facilities include a long-drop toilet, and you’ll need to bring your own drinking water (or treat/boil water sourced from the nearby river).
