Zion View Yurt
Zion View Yurt is one of the Gooseberry Yurts backcountry yurt rentals on Gooseberry Mesa. It’s a wilderness yurt setup with sleeping capacity for 6, run by Gooseberry Yurts, and it requires a reservation for stays.
The yurt experience is camping-style: there’s no running water, electricity, or air conditioning, and guests are expected to bring bedding (sleeping bags, pillows) and water, plus Coleman canisters and wood. Check-in after dark is not recommended, and Gooseberry Yurts is closed during July and August due to hot temperatures; comfortable periods include March, April, May, mid to late September, October, and November. The yurts are located about 7 miles down a dirt road from the North Rim past the Windmill Trailhead, and extreme weather can make access difficult. Inside, guests have bunk beds, a lantern, a cook stove, and a wood stove for heat.
