10th Mountain Division Hut
The 10th Mountain Division Hut is a backcountry hut operated by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association at 11,370 feet in the Colorado Continental Divide area. It’s set up for hut trips or ski-throughs with nearby huts, and the hut sleeps up to 16 people across multiple sleeping areas (including a 6-bed room, a 4-bed room, and a communal sleeping area with 6 single mattresses).
Use requires a reservation, and the hut charges $40/person/night (children 12 and under get 50% off). The hut provides a wood heat system with an included wood oven, a wood stove setup with a wood-and-starter package, and mattresses/pillows; it has an outhouse toilet, no shower, and no sauna or dogs are allowed. For heat and cooking, plan around cistern/stream-based water provisions depending on season, and for winter routes note that there is a known winter access from both Crane Park and Tennessee Pass with blue diamond guidance on the suggested routes.
