Abri du col du calvaire

Abri du col du calvaire is a free, unstaffed mountain shelter (cabane non gardée) at about 1850 m near the Col du calvaire area. It’s intended for backcountry overnighting on a first-come, first-served basis, with simple in-hut sleeping on the floor; there’s no chimney or stove provided, so plan to be self-sufficient.

Inside, the shelter is fairly large, with an accessible upper floor reached via a ladder. It has room for sleeping mats on the floor, and suitable emergency-use expectations—bring your own sleeping gear and assume you’ll cook/have heat options only without any provided fireplace.
