Abri j7 de la plaine de nouvet
Abri j7 de la plaine de nouvet is a free, unstaffed emergency shelter made from an old Peugeot J7 van. The shelter is tight and dry, with a wood stove and benches inside for dry refuge during bad weather.
Use is open-access (no booking/slots), and it’s a small shelter intended for refuge rather than overnight sleeping—there are no designated sleeping places. It sits in a bosquet in the plain of Nouvet (east of Hyèges) and can be reached by track from the Granges de Gaban or across fields from Valette. It’s scheduled for the summer route-open period, roughly from mid-May to the third week of September.
