Alien Within

Alien Within is a V3 bouldering problem in the Jungle sector of Apron Boulders, near Squamish. It is a short, roughly 3 m problem located toward the left end of the long rail, around the left side of Gull Skull.

Begin seated with both hands matched on the large shelf. The crux is a powerful press or long lock-off to the lip; shorter climbers may prefer a dyno, while a heel-hook-based static sequence is another established solution. Once established on the lip, the top-out is more straightforward. Bring a couple of pads. The lip can stay damp after the rest of the problem dries, so brushing and chalk may help in marginal conditions.
