Altaïr

Altaïr is a rustic wilderness backcountry hut operated by Sépaq in the Observatory Sector of Parc national du Mont-Mégantic. It’s a 4-season cabin intended for overnight trips that use snowshoe or cross-country ski approaches in winter.

The hut accommodates up to 4 people, with 2 double beds. Since it’s a wilderness shelter, plan to bring your own sleeping gear and cooking supplies, as well as drinking water.

Bookings for Altaïr and the other Mont-Mégantic wilderness huts are handled through the Sépaq Online Booking System. During winter months, Sépaq offers a gear and baggage hauling service to the hut for a fee of about $16.
