Batsegrette

Batsegrette is a backcountry wilderness hut located inside the Forêt usagère de La Teste-de-Buch area in France. It is a private hut rather than a commercial accommodation, and the original hut on the site was destroyed in the severe summer forest fires of 2022.

Because the hut lies within a protected Natura 2000 zone, any rebuilding is tightly constrained by the local management framework for the forest. Access to trails and overnight stays by the general public in this forest can be restricted, so you should expect that the hut may not be available for public use on many trips.
