Batterie de Rochebrune

Batterie de Rochebrune is a free, unmonitored backcountry refuge (cabane non gardée) in the Belledonne massif at about 1,400 m, run by the local municipality in the Saint-Georges-d’Hurtières area. The refuge is set in/around an old fortification site (historic battery) and is intended for overnight use by hikers who arrive without a reservation.
