Bennett Cabin
Bennett Cabin is a Kawartha Nordic backcountry warming cabin at the northernmost edge of the Kawartha Nordic trail network. It’s a day-use destination along the Bennett West or Bennett East trails, and it serves as a checkpoint on the Kawartha Ski Tour from Apsley to Buckhorn (built in 1983).
The cabin is set up for rustic use with wood heating; it’s not an overnight cabin. It’s reached by ski access on the Bennett West or Bennett East trails, with each approach about 5 km one-way from the ends of the PL Road trail. Use requires a Kawartha Nordic Trail Pass (a fee is charged to enter the area).
