L'Azure Shelter Cabin

L'Azure Shelter Cabin is a backcountry day-use wilderness hut operated by the Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve in Ontario, Canada. It’s set up as a stop along the trail system for hikers and other trail users rather than an overnight reservation property.

Use is straightforward: no official advance booking is required, and there’s no reservation process—show up and use the cabin while it’s available.

Inside the cabin there’s a woodstove for heat, plus firewood. The cabin is also supported by an outhouse, and there are picnic tables for eating or breaking up a day on the trail.
