Betchtel Shelter is a three-sided backcountry winter shelter near Gold Lake Sno-Park in the Willamette Pass area. It has a sleeping loft, a wood stove, a wood picnic table, and a gravel floor, with an overnight maximum capacity of four people.

Use is on a first-come, first-served basis—no reservations or exclusive use. Overnight stays are permitted from November 15 to April 30, with a maximum stay of 3 nights. Firewood, if provided, is for the wood stove only, candles are not allowed, and shelters must be shared; bring out all garbage and pack out human waste if there’s no restroom. Overnight parking is in Sno-Parks only during the Sno-Park season (November 1 to April 30) and requires a valid Oregon Sno-Park permit displayed in your vehicle.
