Cabana de Gimette

Cabana de Gimette is an unstaffed pastoral backcountry hut (2135 m) in the Trois-Évêchés massif of the French Alps. It sleeps up to 5 people across 3 places (2 in an upper area and 1 in the main room), and it’s equipped for basic cooking with a stove setup and cookware, plus a table and a wood stove.

Access is via marked trails (PR) from either Les Thuiles or Pra Loup, or by taking a track and then a PR from the Agneliers. Use is typically not suited to fully catered stays: it is reserved for shepherds during the summer grazing period (estive), so plan on bringing a sleeping bag and being prepared for limited/variable access during that time.
