Cabane d'Aula

Cabane d'Aula is a free, unmanaged backcountry hut at 1550 m on the GR10 in the Couserans (Ariège), used as a simple stop for hikers when the GR10 stage passes through. It sleeps around 12–14 people with bunk beds and mattresses, with a wood-burning stove for heat.

Water is available nearby from a torrent (filtered/purified water recommended), and there’s also an accessible wood source in the forest below the hut for fueling the stove (plan an extra trip for firewood).
