Cabane de Bouy

Cabane de Bouy is a small, unguarded pastoral stone hut on the Bouy plateau above Gourette in the Béarn (Pyrenees). It’s a first-come, first-served stop for hikers and does not use a guard/on-site keeper model.

Inside, sleeping is on built stone sleeping platforms (bat-flanc), and the hut is equipped with a wood stove. The hut is sized for up to 4 people. Use is free and you’re expected to pack out trash and leave the hut clean for the next guests.

The hut sits just off the GR10 area on the Bouy plateau between Eaux-Bonnes and Gourette. It is at about 1,560 m elevation, and the commonly used hiking access routes from the Gourette ski area are generally run in the May to October window (with later-season access depending on snow).
