Cabane de Brouquenat d'En Haut

Cabane de Brouquenat d'En Haut is a non-guarded backcountry shelter (cabane non gardée) in the Sabarthès area, at about 1590 m. It’s a single-room, open cabin used by hikers, fishers, and pastoralists, with a simple interior: bat-flanc in concrete, a table and a stool, a bit of cookware, and a grill; the cabin includes a fireplace and has an earth-packed floor (rustic interior).

Sleeping capacity is 4 people total, with 3 sleeping spots on mattresses. The space is small and basic, so expect a damp, rustic stay and bring what you’ll need for the night; use is free and it’s a first-come, first-served shelter with no advance booking. Water is available within about 100 m.
