Cabane de Caillaous

Cabane de Caillaous (Capana deth Calhaus) is an unstaffed backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees at about 1,885 m. It has space for 5 people on wide wooden mezzanine bunks (including two 2-person sections) plus a small additional sleeping platform; the shelter has been completely renovated (of 2019).

Use is free and no stove or fireplace is provided. Beds are on wooden bunks only, so plan on carrying what you need to sleep and cook (and bring your own water treatment). Expect no reservation system—use is first-come, first-served.
