Cabane de Chabaud
Cabane de Chabaud is a small backcountry cabin set at 1,935 m in the French Alps. it is a shepherds’ cabin reserved during the summer grazing season (estive), then otherwise used as a free, first-come first-served stop.
Sleeping is tight but defined: it provides 4 places—four on the upper floor (with two single mattresses) plus one bed at the lower level—and can accommodate up to 4 people. The cabin has a stove, but there is no fireplace; plan on using the stove for cooking and bringing your own sleeping bag.
