Cabane de Chalufy

Cabane de Chalufy is a non-guarded pastoral cabin used by local shepherds during the estive season. In winter it can function as a free refuge for hikers, with a wood-burning stove and a loft stocked with mattresses.

The hut is set up for small groups: it has sleeping space for 4 people, with a table inside and a wood stove. There’s also running water from a pipe close to the cabin, plus latrines nearby; use is expected to respect the shepherds’ property and the stored materials.

During the estive period the cabin is reserved for shepherds; other visitors may be accommodated only with the shepherd’s permission.
