Cabane de Champet

Cabane de Champet is a backcountry alpine hut in the Belledonne mountains, used as an unstaffed shelter for overnight stays. It sits at 1,783 m, so plan for alpine weather and cold nights even when days are mild.

Access is typically done on foot as part of regional hiking routes in the Belledonne range. Overnight use is first-come, first-served—there is no reservation system—and you should arrive self-sufficient with everything you’ll need for the night.
