Cabane de Chaude Oreille

Cabane de Chaude Oreille is a small, unguarded backcountry cabin at 1,750 m in the Ubaye area. It’s set back from the track in a prairie, and the cabin interior includes a sleeping platform, a table, and a wood stove; there’s no fireplace.

the hut is an old cabin with space for 1 person (one sleeping place on a mattress). Use is free in a first-come, first-served style with no booking system; plan to bring your own sleeping bag/duvet. Access is from Rioclar by following a car-accessible track toward Fortunel, then continuing on a forest track, with the cabin a short distance off the track.
