Cabane de Cornudere

Cabane de Cornudere is a small pastoral mountain hut in the French Pyrenees (Ariège) at about 1,490 m, used for basic overnight stays in backcountry conditions. It sleeps 2 people and has a fireplace/cheminée inside, with simple furnishings including a table and benches on the main level and mattresses on the upper level.

Access is from Col de Portet d'Aspet via a long forest track to the north-east, then branching north-west onto a signed path through the forest. The hut sits by the Trou de l’Eglise, and while livestock may be present (sheep guarded by patou dogs), you should keep clear of the flock and dogs when approaching.
